Understanding Train Tickets in Spanish
Below is a translation of your ticket as well as more information about your train tickets. Because these tickets are issued by the rail operator, they are only issued in Spanish. We've created a guide in English to help you understand your tickets and key terms.
Please note: Europe uses the date format of DD/MM/YYYY
Glossary of useful terms to help you translate your ticket:
- Adulto: Adult
- Niño: Child
- Coche: Coach/Carriage
- Plaza: Seat number
- Origen: Origin (Departure Station)
- Destino: Destination (Arrival Station)
Should each traveler have a train ticket?
Each traveler should have their own ticket. You can confirm that they are not duplicate tickets as the seat numbers, designated by “Plaza”, should be different. The passenger’s first initial and last name may also be shown on the ticket.
Please note that most seat numbers are not always consecutive, but that does not mean that you are not seated with the other travelers on your itinerary. We always seat travelers together, and if for some reason that was not possible due to availability, we would have notified you already.
