Checking-In
You should have received a separate voucher along with your travel documents which include your travel details on Rocky Mountaineer and your Booking Reference number.
Check-in
You can check in online 48 hours prior to boarding the train through the link on your voucher. This is recommended for all travelers.
The evening before, it is recommended to visit one of the Guest Centres to present your Booking Reference along with a government-issued ID, and the attendant will give you your boarding pass with your pre-assigned seat and overnight accommodation details for Kamloops or Whistler and Quesnel. You will also be given your luggage tag for checking in your belongings.
You can find the addresses and hours of the Guest Centres here: https://www.rockymountaineer.com/preparing-to-go/check-in
Transportation
Transfers are included complimentary to and from the hotel and the train station in Vancouver, the Rockies, and Kamloops.
Onboard Rocky Mountaineer
Meals Onboard the Train
You will be served a gourmet breakfast and lunch onboard the train. You will also receive complimentary snacks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the rail journey. For all morning departures, breakfast will start shortly after departure; however, this may be several hours after leaving your hotel room, so you may want to have a light snack prior to departing from your hotel.
There will be two seatings for breakfast and lunch in GoldLeaf Service. While the first half is being served in the lower-level dining room, beverages and a light snack will be served to the other guests in the upper dome. Guests in the first seating on day one will be in the second seating on day two and vice versa. Requests for first or second seating in advance of train departures, unfortunately, cannot be accommodated.
Wi-fi
There is no Wi-fi internet access onboard and much of the rail route is out of cell phone range due to the train traveling through remote areas. If you need to make a phone call while onboard, please use the outdoor viewing area. Your Hosts can advise on the best areas along the route where reception will be available. There will be cell service available in all major urban centers.
Onboard Purchases
Onboard purchases must be paid with a credit card, as the trains are cashless. VISA, MasterCard and American Express are accepted onboard.
Luggage
Your checked luggage will travel separately from the train and will be waiting for you at your Kamloops accommodation. Please note there is no overhead or under-seat storage: your carry-on bag must fit at your feet. All medications, valuables, personal items, and travel documents should be carried with you on board.
Travelers are allowed to bring two suitcases per person (total weight not to exceed 66 lbs or 29.9 kg) of checked luggage. No one piece of luggage may weigh more than 50 lbs (22.6 kg). All baggage or articles are accepted and transported subject to Rocky Mountaineer’s luggage policy. Oversized items (i.e. sports equipment), may be subject to a surcharge. Please refer to your travel documents.
