From Beijing to Moscow in luxury

11th July 2008

Railbookers is offering holidaymakers the opportunity to travel in the lap of luxury along the ancient Silk Road from Beijing to Moscow.

The journey begins with four days in the Chinese capital Beijing where you will be able to visit everything from the Great Wall of China to the amazing Ming Tombs.

After enjoying all Beijing has to offer, you will then board a private train, the Shangri-La Express, which will transport you to the country's other marvels, such as the incredible Terracotta Warriors at X'ian and captivating Buddhist art at the Magao Thousand Buddha Cave Complex in Dunhuang.

After reaching the border between China and Kazakhstan, you will transfer to the Golden Eagle Train which includes private ensuite cabins. The journey will follow in the footsteps of nomads, traders and explorers such as Marco Polo, through the Tien Shen Mountains of Kazakhstan, and the breathtaking Kopet Dag mountains of Turkmenistan.

Railbookers' marketing manager Alex Nott comments: "Five countries, two continents and 21 days of continuous exploration - this is an experience not to be missed."
